草花や実を編んだ飾り

幼いころ、誰でも一度は野原で花の髪飾りを編み、草笛を吹きながら歩き、
草花と遊び、飾り、親しくあった時があったことでしょう。

吉田さんは竹を編む人。
真直ぐに伸びる竹を、繊細で優しげな竹籠に編み上げます。
その籠は、草笛の音色のように、あたたかく清らかです。
松原さんは金属を編みます。
細く糸のような金属を、まるで髪を編むが如く器用に編み込み、
小さな帯留めに、愛嬌と日本の風物を描いて下さいます。
そして、藤井さんは着尺を織る女性。
自然に親しみ、植物や樹々が内に秘める色を絹糸にうつします。
それは奇跡のよう、自然がこんなにも豊かで、
洗練されていると教えてくれるのです。

三人のつくり手による花綵。大人になった今こそ、日本の自然を享受し、
親しく戯れていただけましたら嬉しく思います。

伝統的な線細工（filigree）の技法を軸にねじる、切る、曲げ る、つなげる、そんな作業を繰り返し、小さな世界を生み出している

藤井繭子｜草木染手織着尺による 数寄屋袋 古帛紗
紬織重要無形文化財保持者 志村ふくみ氏、洋子氏より染織を学ぶ
鎌倉にて独立後、山梨県北杜市に拠を移し、草木の命を人の生に色として残したいという思いから、絹糸を草木で染め織り、”きもの”を中心に制作している

When we were little, there was probably a time all of us were familiar with plants and flowers, weaving flower crowns in a meadow, walking while whistling through a blade of grass, play and decorate.

Mr. Yoshida weaves bamboo. He weaves bamboo that grow straight up into dainty, graceful baskets. And they are, like the sounds of a grass flute, warm and pure.

Mr. Matsubara weaves metal. He weaves thread-thin metal pieces, nimbly like brading hair, making small obidome(sash clips) depicting natural Japanese features with humor.

And, Ms. Fujii makes kimono fabric. She immerses herself in the nature, and the colors hidden within plants and trees are reflected in her silk threads. It is almost like a miracle, they all teach us how the nature is bountiful and refined.

Kasai created by three makers. It will be our pleasure, for our now “grown-up” audience, if we can take you to the nature to dive into and play in it once again.

He uses traditional filigree technique as a foundation, twisting, cutting, bending, and connecting. Repeating these motions, his tiny world is created.

After becoming independent in Kamakura, She moved to Hokuto city in Yamanashi prefecture, and started creating “kimono”(literally, “things to wear”), using silk threads dyed with plants. It evolved from her wish to bring plants’ lives into those of people’s, in the shape of colors.
