衣服の源　二人は知らぬ地への冒険に出る
小舟を用意し　わたしはただ見送る
西の懐かしさと東の新しさ
ファッションの持つ挑発性と
金糸に触れる指先の歓び
何を見　何を知るのか
冒険での手土産を　愉しみに待ちたい


「お洋服の展示をしてみませんか」
ハンカチを縫っているという、可愛らしい彼女にそう尋ねると、
永く戸惑っていた。私たちの強い願い、
それがUne placeのおふたりとの始まりだ。

Une placeの麻美さんは、大いなる夢想家で、ひたむきな女性だ。
古い衣装から高級メゾンまで、いつだって心は旅をし、
夢の中で私たちに様々な服を纏わせてくれる。
制作が始まると並々ならぬ集中力で、手を、頭を動かし続ける。
鋏を入れた布は戻らない。その緊張の中に常に居るのだろう。

今展もシルクの手織布にて、衣服を制作して頂いた。
制作途中、まるで繭の中にいるような感覚に襲われたという。
10年前に出逢ったあの可愛らしい女性は、
女性の佳きも悪しきをも美しく魅せるデザイナーになっていた。

今展には、新しい挑戦、新しい Une place の衣服、
そして新鮮な絹布の表情が在ると思う。
もちろん、日常服としての衣服も多く制作して下さっている。
夢想とひたむきさが形となった Une place の衣服を、ぜひご覧下さいませ。
皆様のお運びを、心よりお待ち申し上げて居ります。

The source of clothing The two depart for an adventure in an unknown place. I prepare their little boat and stand there to see them off the familiarity of the West and the novelty of the East Instigating nature of fashion. And tactile pleasures from holding the golden thread what they will see Knowledge they will accumulate. We await with excitement Gifts they return home with from their adventure.


“Would you like to have a show of your clothing?” I asked her, a pretty girl who was apparently sewing a handkerchief, and the question made her ponder for a long time. Our earnest dreams, these were the starting point for our endeavors with the Une place’s duo.

Mrs. Mami from Une place is an earnest woman with tons of dreams. From vintage clothing to high-end pieces, her mind always travels, letting us wear in her visions all kinds of clothing. Once the work starts, she moves her hands and uses her head, with some extraordinary focus. Can’t take it back once you cut your material, that is the tension she is in constantly.

As with our last show, she had created for us the line of clothing using hand-woven silk fabric. She said she felt as if she was in a cocoon while she was working on this project. The adorable young woman we had met ten years ago has grown into a capable designer who can compliment all of women’s aspects, including some not-so-perfect sides.

In this new show, we are seeing their new challenges, new clothing of Une place, and fresh new faces of silk fabrics. And as usual, they have provided us with numbers of clothing items for everyday wears. We would love you to see the clothing by Une place, the products of daydreams and total commitment. Hope you will be coming to visit us!
