朝のコップ一杯の水
今日では　同じ朝が必ずしもやってはこないことを
私たちは知っている

津田清和の硝子は　どこか彫刻のように均整のとれた姿を持つ
ただそれは　触れられぬそれではなく
波打ち際の石ころのように　柔らかく掌に馴染み
いつかの一編の詩のように安堵させる

一杯の水を　新しい朝がくる日常を
切り取ることが器のひとつの役割なのだとしたら
氏の硝子が掬う景色は　いつも無垢で
窓際の石ころのように
変わらない日常こそ特別なものなのだ
そう話してくれている気がしている


今展では、日々のコップから深部より生まれくる作品まで、
津田清和の硝子作品を幅広くご覧いただきます。
歌や草花のように、この硝子器が悦びへと繋がっていくことを願い、
みなさまのお運びを心よりお待ち申し上げております。

A glass of water in the morning
These days we know we won’t have
Same old mornings anymore

Glassworks by Kiyokazu Tsuda somewhat have
Well-balanced forms of sculptures
They are not however things that are
Out of reach of our hands
But fit softly in our palms like
A smooth rock found on the beach
To ease our minds like a poem from
Some time ago

A glass of water
Daily lives where we are to welcome
New mornings
To frame them and show them to us
If that is one of the roles vessels in our
Lives have
Then the scenery scooped up by the
Artist’s glasswork
Is always innocent and like a piece of
Rock sitting on the windowsill
It feels as though they are telling us that
The mundane unchanging daily lives
Are the things that are special and precious


At this exhibition, we are aiming to show a
wide range of glasswork by Kiyokazu Tsuda,
from every- day use drinking glasses to pieces of work
produced the depth of his creative mind.
We are hoping these glassworks will be
connecting you to joy, like the way songs
and plants do, and to see you here at our gallery soon.
